The 1st Exhibition Launch of Shailly Gupta, organised by Ashleigh of Tea Bird Organic.
An absolute beautiful gallery and tea space helmed by the creator, founder, artist and managing director of Tea Bird Organic, the lovely Ashleigh from Ireland whom saw my performance in Singapore at the launch of Lisa Von Tang’s new fashion collection was such a joy and warm personality to work with.
I had the privileged opportunity to be inspired by Shailly Gupta’s paintings that was being exhibited at Ashleigh’s gallery and was asked to create a commissioned work for the 1st exhibition launch of Shailly Gupta, a beautiful lady from Sri Lanka who has made her life here for the time being in Malaysia with her husband and family. Her artworks were vibrant hues of turquoise, gold, greys and whites and were captivating. I could hear the sound of the ocean. Shailly Gupta was so gracious and together she picked a beautiful sound for me to create to.
I also made a new costume for this performance and to be surrounded by art and a very magnetic audience who gave me such a lovely applause was the best gift a dance artiste could receive.
